Data transfer for government and public services
Maytech provide a cloud platform that allows secure and reliable data transfer for the public sector.
Using Maytech, public sector data can be transferred using SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS or using automated systems. Data acquisition workflows can be optimised using integrated web forms to collect files and any associated meta data required. A public API is also available to facilitate additional custom workflows. PGP is supported to provide end-to-end data encryption.
All Maytech’s government file transfer products feature central administrative controls, full audit trails and end-to-end encryption providing full control and visibility of data for data owners. They comply with international standards including PCI-DSS and EU Data Protection.

Maytech services are suitable for UK public sector customers with data sensitivity levels up to OFFICIAL and including OFFICIAL SENSITIVE, a limited subset of OFFICIAL information that may require additional measures, generally procedural or personal to reinforce the need to know.
OFFICIAL and OFFICIAL SENSITIVE data is the majority of information, up to 85%, created or processed by the UK public sector.
Maytech’s government service and associated infrastructure is dedicated to public sector customers and is accessible from the internet. The service is subjected to an annual IT Security Health Check (ITSHC) by a CHECK / CREST approved vendor and a management report and residual risk statement are available for all interested parties upon request and a signed NDA.
Maytech is a registered G-CLoud supplier (Service ID no: 3070 3808 4756 393) and self certifies against the UK National Cyber Security Centre’s 14 Cloud Security Principles designed to improve the underlying security of the UK internet and protect critical services from cyber attacks.
Maytech is ISO 27001 certified and audited by Lloyd’s Register.
Data residency
Customer data is hosted in the UK, on G-Cloud listed infrastructure which is ISO 27001 certified, PCI-DSS compliant, and SOC 1, 2 and 3 compliant. Please contact us for more information.
